About

I'm Bill. The work on this site is what comes after a decade in the classroom teaching math and computer science: small, useful tools and workflows at the seam where pedagogy meets modern AI tooling.
The path here was tech first, then teaching. I started out in IT consulting at CSC and Xerox, then moved into web development at a small San Diego studio and freelance work after that. I went back to school for a CS degree at UCI (Intelligent Systems) on top of a Psychology and Business BA from UCLA, and then spent the last decade teaching: traditional middle school, founding teacher at a new K–8, and AP Computer Science at a public high school (AP CSA, AP CSP, and Data Structures). The combination is the credential.
Leaving the classroom isn't about leaving teaching; it's about finding a way to apply all of it more broadly. One classroom serves thirty students at a time. A product, a workflow, or a piece of developer-facing infrastructure can reach orders of magnitude more. I'm open to ed-tech roles where pedagogy and engineering meet: solutions engineering, product, implementation, developer advocacy. The work on this site is the evidence.
